Dr. Nicholas DeSouza believes that understanding a patient as a person — their lifestyle, hobbies, and daily demands on their vision — is just as important as the clinical data collected during an exam. Dr. DeSouza earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 2020, following his Bachelor of Science in Honours Health Science at Wilfrid Laurier University. His clinical training took him across a remarkable range of settings — from the Perkins School for the Blind and Boston Medical Center, to the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire, and Richlin Eye Care in Beverly Hills, California — giving him a broad foundation in caring for patients with complex and varied vision needs.

Since founding DeSouza Optometry, Dr. DeSouza has developed a busy specialty practice, fitting a high volume of Orthokeratology (Ortho-K), rigid gas permeable (RGP), and scleral lenses for patients across all age groups. He works with children and teens pursuing myopia control through Ortho-K, adults who have never found comfort or clarity with conventional contact lenses, and patients with keratoconus, irregular corneas, and post-surgical eyes who need precision specialty fitting to see their best. He also provides advanced dry eye management, focusing on identifying and treating the underlying causes rather than simply relieving symptoms.
