Dr. Nicholas DeSouza believes that understanding a patient as a person — their lifestyle, hobbies, and daily demands on their vision — is just as important as the clinical data collected during an exam. It is this combination of evidence-based care and genuine personal insight that guides every treatment plan at DeSouza Optometry in North York.
Dr. DeSouza earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts in 2020, following his Bachelor of Science in Honours Health Science at Wilfrid Laurier University. His clinical training took him across a remarkable range of settings — from the Perkins School for the Blind and Boston Medical Center, to the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Manchester, New Hampshire, and Richlin Eye Care in Beverly Hills, California — giving him a broad foundation in caring for patients with complex and varied vision needs.
